Official Sentry remote MCP, aimed at human-in-the-loop coding agents, not a general Sentry bot. Hosted on Cloudflare. stdio exists for self-hosted Sentry and still needs a user auth token with write scopes.

Strengths

  • Official Sentry server at mcp.sentry.dev, built for Cursor / Claude Code.
  • Claude Code plugin with a delegated sentry-mcp subagent.
  • Remote by default; stdio for self-hosted Sentry.

Known limitations

  • Tooling is for developer debug workflows, not full Sentry administration.
  • stdio AI search tools need OpenAI/Anthropic/OpenRouter or they disappear.
  • Self-hosted Seer and some skills are missing; disable them explicitly.

Use it when

  • Agents debugging an error that already lives in Sentry.
  • Teams that want issue/trace context inside the coding agent, not another tab.

Skip it when

  • You needed the whole Sentry product API — this is a coding-agent slice.
  • AI search tools (search_events / search_issues) need a separate LLM provider.
  • You will not give event:write on a user auth token.
