ledger entry · observed by @whysanesanders

For teams that want to own their vibe-coding stack and already run on Cloudflare. The catch: production features need a paid Cloudflare plan, multiple bindings (KV, D1, R2, AI Gateway), and you bring your own model keys; local setup is straightforward but production ops are not trivial.

Strengths

  • Open-source full-stack vibe-coding environment.
  • Self-hosted on your own Cloudflare account.
  • Local setup is straightforward.

Known limitations

  • Production app previews require Cloudflare Workers Paid plan and Workers for Platforms.
  • You must configure AI Gateway / model provider keys yourself.
  • Bash is disabled for safety, but agent loops can still produce incorrect or insecure code.
  • Self-hosted means you operate DNS, certs, migrations, and quotas.

Use it when

  • Teams already running on Cloudflare who want a self-hosted vibe stack.
  • Developers who need to own their coding-assistant infrastructure.

Skip it when

  • You do not want a paid Cloudflare plan for production previews.
  • You cannot manage KV, D1, R2, AI Gateway bindings and keys.
  • Bash in the agent loop is a hard requirement.

Buy-check

  • ·Price — free, open source (MIT); production previews require Cloudflare Workers Paid plan, Workers for Platforms, model API keys, and a custom domain/certs as of 2026-08-20. Open the pricing page, not a screenshot.
  • ·Free tier — Free tier exists — burn it first.
  • ·Cancel fallout — What happens to your data/projects on cancel — check the ToS, not the FAQ.
  • ·Seat math — Per-seat pricing multiplies quietly. Count seats before the annual plan.
  • ·Who skips it — Also skipped when: You do not want a paid Cloudflare plan for production previews.; You cannot manage KV, D1, R2, AI Gateway bindings and keys..
